Head Coach Boys Varsity Basketball

Denzal McKenzie, now in his fifth season as head coach of the Timberwolves boys’ basketball team, has made a significant impact on the program. In February 2025, he became the second-winningest coach in East Stroudsburg North history. 
A former graduate of the program himself, McKenzie has coached at the school since at least 2016 according to his publicly posted professional profile. Under his leadership, the team has strengthened its presence in the Mountain Valley Conference and built toward sustainable success. McKenzie emphasizes player development and has worked to build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hard work throughout the program.

Coach Jerome Taylor

Head Coach Girls Varsity Basketball

Jerome Taylor was appointed head coach of the Timberwolves’ girls varsity basketball program ahead of the 2023-24 season, marking his first full year in the role. His coaching journey is distinctive: prior to assuming the helm, Taylor spent time coaching overseas in Japan, gaining international experience that informs his belief in discipline, culture, and growth. 
In his inaugural season, Taylor led the team to three varsity wins and five junior varsity victories—an improvement for a program that hadn’t reached three varsity wins in seven or eight years. Taylor emphasizes honesty with his players, setting clear expectations from tryouts to game day, and teaching that success is earned through consistent effort.
